My mom used to make some o...Yummy, it was so yummy. My mom used to make some of this stuff and it was delicious. I never realized it was split pea, I always thought it was just some mushy green yumminess. Not sure what her recipe consisted of, and of course it hasn't been written down anywhere, but when I looked through google for some Cuban style split pea soup recipes I noticed someone who used canned pumpkin. Is this crazy or tasty? I have no idea, but now I'm tempted to try it.
